Monkey point kasauli
Kasauli’s Monkey point is the highest point of the town and is one of the most famous attractions of the place. Located at a mere distance of 4 kilometres from the bus stand, this destination has a small temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman. Being the highest point of the town, the Monkey point has some scenic views to offer. You can capture the bird’s eye view of the nearby cities of Chandigarh, Kalka, and Panchkula from this point. The mighty river Sutlej can also be seen coursing its way through the mountain ways and combined with the enchanting view of the nearby mountains is a breathtaking scene. Local legend dictates that while fetching the Sanjeevani herb for Laxman, Lord Hanuman’s foot touched this spot. You would be surprised to learn that the top of the hill is shaped like a foot. “Tapp’s Nose” was the name given to this unusual shape of the rock.

Baba balak nath temple
The famous temple of Baba Balak Nath at Gadkhal.It comes just 5 KM ahead of Kasauli. The beautiful temple is situated on the hill top. You should visit this temple especially on Sundays and in Navratras. People believe that all their wishes are fulfilled in this temple. Every Sunday, priest of the temple “Baba ji” sits on his ‘Gaddi’ and answers all the queries of the followers. It is said that when he sits on his gaddi a supernatural power of Baba Balak Nath enters in him, then the Baba correctly tells about ones’ past and gives exact prediction of future. Over 10000 childless couples have been blessed with children from this temple.

Historical shiv mandir jatoli solan
Jatoli Shiv temple, If a tourist wants to see a grand and spectacular temple, perched on a hill top then Jatoli Shiv temple is the place to be. Jatoli gets its name from the long Jata (hair) that Lord Shiva has. Considered as Asia’s highest Shiv temple, this shrine is indeed an architectural marvel. Jatoli Shiv Temple is one of the famous holy destinations of Solan which attract a large number of pilgrims and is only 6 Kms from the city. Multiple fables and stories are associated with the history of Jatoli Shiv Temple. It is one of the oldest temples of Lord Shiv where an ancient linga is the also placed since a long time. It is believed that the temple was once the resting place of Lord Shiva.

Mohan shakti heritage park
Want to see how ancient villages used to look like? Head down to Mohan Shakti Heritage Park and step right into the past. Just half an hour drive from Solan, the Mohan Shakti Heritage Park is an ultimate place to visit. Mohan Shakti Heritage Park is North India’s first ever ancient heritage park. National Heritage Park is located at Shakti Sthal on NH 22 between Kalka and Shimla. The picturesque park is supplemented with many unique structures. The park is still under construction and is believed to be the largest heritage park in Himachal Pradesh. Here, tourist can enjoy exploring a heritage park, pass through grasslands, indulge in bird watching, catch glimpses of archaeological sites, and gorgeous landscapes of peaks, clouds and sunshine.

Dagshai Jail Museum
Dagshai is one of the oldest cantonment towns near Kasauli. The town has a cellular jail, which is today a museum. It is also interesting to know that Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of Our Nation, had spent a day in this jail. Dagshai jail museum was earlier a British prison. The structure has 54 maximum cellular cells, out of which 16 cells were used for severe punishments. These cells were hardly ventilated and there was no source for natural light.
